Interpretations of Nature
February–March 2013
Meeting Room Gallery, Cary Memorial Library
Growing up in New England, learning to appreciate and protect the nature surrounding us is a central theme in our lives. We all uniquely connect to and respect the natural world, whether we revere the beauty of that not made by man or the serenity and calm that resonates throughout it. Since its beginnings, photography has been a medium of choice to capture the wonders of nature, and every one of us has our own interpretation to share.
In this modern world, too often our digital photographs remain cooped up on our personal computers, missing the opportunity to reach out to and inspire others. Exhibiting our art and our respective perspectives of the world around us, particularly as adolescents, is a meaningful way for us to demonstrate our values and creativity.
